About Us:
The United Methodist Men (UMM)exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every man's life.  The Men's Ministry, through the Methodist Men, leads to the spiritual growth of men and effective discipleship.  The purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ.  The Alexandria District UMM is tasked to carry out this purpose. 
The responsibilities of the Alexandria District UMM shall be to work with local United Methodist Men Fellowships developing resources to meet the needs and interests of men and the responsibilities of discipleship; to empower personal witness and evangelism; to enable outreach in individual and group mission and ministry; to encourage and support spiritual growth and faith development; and to promote the objectives and responsibilities of the Virginia Conference United Methodist Men and the General Commission on United Methodist Men.  The Alexandria District UMM also shall encourage and promote the chartering and annual recertification of local United Methodist Men Fellowships through the General Commission on United Methodist Men. 

Membership:

 ​All men and clergy of all local churches or



charges in the ​Alexandria District of the



Virginia Conference of the United Methodist



Church are members of the Alexandria



District UMM.  The local Fellowships can be



chartered ​or unchartered for its fellowship



and members ​to be members of the



Alexandria District UMM.

Sub-Districts

To distribute the Men's Ministry



leadership responsibilities and workload



within the Alexandria District UMM, Sub-



District Leaders are appointed to six



geographical areas which include the



following Sub-Districts: 



Braddock, Piedmont (Fauquier plus),



Piedmont (Prince William County),



Temple, Tidewater, Woodbridge.



For the United Methodist Men's



Fellowship within each assigned Sub-



District, the Sub-District Leader will



improve communications between the



local UMM Fellowships and the



Alexandria District UMM, fostering



cooperation and building camaraderie



among the UMM Fellowships within the



Sub-District.
